We have two employees leaving our employment today. 1st, our Mental Health Advocate, Jerry Spencer is retiring from us for a second time. Jerry was a detective with our department and when he retired, we immediately hired him back as our Mental Health Advocate. Jerry has been doing that for a few years now and decided it was time to hang it up and spend more time with his family. Jerry is one of the most dedicated and hard working people we have ever known. We will miss him around here and we know the community will miss him too. We have files full of thank you notes from his career as a police officer and as our MHA. We are currently in the process of finding his replacement which will be difficult as Jerry set the bar very high. Ny has been a police officer with our department since 2009. She was selected as our Community Resource Officer because of her drive to provide great customer service and reach out to the community. Ny coordinated many events including National Night Out and our Citizens Police Academy. Ny was recognized last year by the Chamber receiving the 4 under 40 award. Ny is leaving us to pursue a new career path. We hate to see her go, but we all wish her the best on this new path. Again, we are currently in the process of hiring an officer to replace her and then we will select a new Community Resource Officer. Thanks for everything Ny!
