We hear all the time, Live in the present. The question most - TopicsExpress

We hear all the time, Live in the present. The question most people ask is, How? Each day, decide how much time you will spend dwelling on the past. Use a timer to keep yourself on schedule. Begin with the statement I am not a victim. End with the statement I am willing to forgive myself and others. Notice how much time you spend going over the same things. Is it helpful? Try to avoid places and situations that trigger your return to the past. Take good care of yourself. Treat yourself like someone of value. Sometimes, it will be nearly impossible to stay away from dwelling on some past event. When this happens, make it a visit, not a place to stay. Your past is valuable; dont try to get rid of it. Spend time contemplating the meaning of forgiveness. We all like to visit tomorrow. Tomorrow holds great romance, million-dollar lottery tickets, and a brand-new convertible. But, just like the past, its not a place we can stay. We remember the past and imagine the future because we were designed to learn from both. If you dealing with the death of a loved one, divorce, or other losses, be gentle with how you care for yourself. Facing a new day may be the most difficult thing you can do. Face the day knowing that every new day is a day for more forgiveness and healing. ~ Affirmation 4 today: All is well in my world today.
