We ignored the cautionary future prospect of natural gas in Bangladesh. The expert opinions were not taken into consideration. In effect, the alert signal is beginning to translate to reality through gas transmission line to our houses and industry units. Acute shortage is appeared in different gas based industries specially power production plant hampering electric production now. Govt. is forced to shut down some power plants and fertilizer factories in Chittagong for not being adequate supply of gas in this month. Think, what it will be just after 5 or 6 years later? If this ignorance is allowed to go for then the future of Bangladesh is opt to fall in ultimate danger. Everybody should keep in mind that the next decades will be the most crucial time for energy in the world. And one thing I would like to remind you all that the world has enough coal deposit to meet the energy need for next 380 to 400 years. But gas has only limited deposit in some countries only.
