~ We, in the Black Community are still suffering the aftermath, and current-day psychological trauma-and-drama-consequences of the crack epidemic. It devastated families, communities, culture, and many of the ties that bind us. And a great number of our women were used in ways to many to mention, within that war. Which essentially facilitated the continuous breaking down of family and community. (weve all know the ugly term: Strawberry, etc.). Was it not the CIA who initially flooded our communities with crack-cocaine; and its a foregone conclusion what the CIA does, global, it, undermine, destabilize, disrupt, and destroy nations. Our nation, within a nation was targeted. It will take a tribunal and many years of attention to regain our collective composure after such sock & awe. All sort of manifestations from this brutal period are becoming more apparent daily, as the years continue to march forward. Weve got a lot of healing (work) to do. As Brotha Blue Paul), said, last night on his Know-The-Ledge BlogTalkRadio program (I wish he wasnt interrupted; solid point he was exploring/making) we must atone for that period. ~
