We invite evil spirits into our lives and allow them to afflict us without even realizing that we are doing so. One of the most common ways that we invite them is by believing that our deceased loved ones are haunting us, but these are actually demons, as our deceased loved ones cannot haunt us or turn into angels. One of the evil ones great deceptions. Another common way that we allow them in without realizing is by agreeing with bad spirits spoken over our lives or accepting bad things and believing that they are from GOD, when they are not. Such as, someone going through a really tough time or being diagnosed with a sickness or disease actually comes into agreement with the spirit that is afflicting them without realizing it when they accept that this is what they have, and therefore do not pray against it or take authority over it, but tell GOD that it must be HIS will, when, in fact, it isnt. In this way, demons are allowed to inflict us with whatever they want because we accept it as GODS will. Bad things do not come from GOD. HE sent Jesus to give us authority over all demons. Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give. 1 Chronicles 10:13–14 13 So Saul died afor his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance. 14 He did not seek guidance from the Lord. Therefore the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse. Deuteronomy 18:9-12 When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord ; and because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out before you. Psalms 6:3-5 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long? Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies sake. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks? The Psalmist is praying for deliverance to arrive before death here because he knows he wont have the ability to remember anything from the grave, nor can he give thanks from the grave. Psalms 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence. Psalms 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have theyany more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. Isaiah 38:18-19, For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth. John 11:11-14 This He said, and after that He said to them, Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I go, so that I may awaken him out of sleep. The disciples then said to Him, Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover. Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that He was speaking of literal sleep. So Jesus then said to them plainly, Lazarus is dead, Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. 1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. 1 John 3:8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. Proverbs 19:23 The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, Mark 1:21-28 And they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath he entered the synagogue and was teaching. And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes. And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” Isaiah 8:19-20 And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living? To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn. John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
