The May 30 blood drive will be held in the Dahlonega Baptist Church fellowship hall located at 234 Hawkins St. in Dahlonega. Those who plan to donate there are asked to sign-up in advance. You can call LifeSouth’s Gainesville office at 770-538-0500 to make an appointment. Platelet or whole blood donations can also be made in Sheriff Jarrard’s honor at LifeSouth’s Northeast Georgia Center, located at 1200 McEver Road, Gainesville. Donors must be at least 17, or 16 with parental permission, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is also required. All donors will receive a LifeSouth umbrella and a complimentary cholesterol screening.
