We joyously welcomed beautiful Juliana, 7#1oz, early this morning, born to first-time parents. Mom and Dad were a tremendous team working together through their labor and both were full of joy even as labor reached its peak intensity. Once moms body gave her an undeniable signal to help push Juliana into the world, it was only 2 or 3 contractions before she arrived! Wow! The fullness of their joy never ceased during their postpartum stay, with many coos, smiles, statements of awe, and prayers of thanks being offered. This midwifes favorite moment (other than the birth itself)? When Daddy was reading his four-hour old daughter, Oh, The Places Youll Go by Dr. Seuss as she calmly rested in his arms and we tended to Mom for a bit. Yes, there most assuredly were midwife tears. Precious, indeed!!! Congrats to this new family! ~Vikki
