We just finished The Avengers, and while I thought it was a lot of fun and very well directed, I -- as someone who isnt really a superheroes guy -- walked away with a major question. So there was a whole Hulk smash sequence where he basically trashed the ship and tried to kill useless redheaded chick (who looked rather silly pulling out guns and shooting them during the massive destruction at the end). Anyway, Hulk was clearly out of control. And yet, at the END of the movie, when he showed up to help save the day, he was totally in control. So if he could control it, what was up with the whole smash ship/kill ginger thing?
