We just finished checking out Easter Seals Camp Harmon in Boulder Creek. It may very well work for our needs. In your dream Gold Rush town, what would you want in the site? No idea is too big right now. The camp is planning to do a Pioneer Days / Gold Rush theme for their next summer, and they want ideas for things we can help build or leave at the site - which will help our fee out significantly. It sounds like a great deal for us, as it lets us decorate the site for our purposes or leave those decorations on-site. My own thought: Id love to set up a set of train tracks at the edge of the camp with a rolling (winch powered) wooden train with a nice facade. Probably 40-60 feet total length (nothing longer would be required for my concept). We also talked while on-site today about setting up a sluice channel for panning on-site. What are your ideas? What would YOU want in your California Gold Rush town?
