We just got back from a quick daytrip to Oklahoma City - 532 miles and most of it was on I-40. Now the really important parts. We had lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory courtesy of a friend in Arkansas. The Hawaiian pizza was great but the cheesecake dessert was even better. Next on the agenda was a trip to the Cowboy Hall of Fame - that is not the correct name but it is how I know it - for the Prix de West art show. Tickets for this were from Julia and Jhered - the Brat and her better half. The show this year has fewer artists/sculpters but their work is some of the best in many years. Though I am most certainly an art critic, I know what I like and I really like Western Art. Many of the paintings have already sold, one for over $110,000, but they will remain on display until the show ends in a few weeks. I would encourage anyone who enjoys art to make a trip over there. For what it is worth, I really enjoy the 75 MPH speed limit in Texas but have to slow down to 70 MPH when we cross into the land of "the pokie Okie".
