We just got home from a visit with Matt and Bobbye Jean at the hospital. I would like to update everyone and ask for your continued prayers in specific areas. To start, we would like to tell you that Matt is doing well and we are tearfully happy. In that same thread, he has so much more to go through in this next year. He is moving to a rehabilitation center tomorrow. The last week has been full of stories from Bobbye (and video) of a sassy, funny Matt. The Matt we all know and have been longing to see. He is making strides everyday. today we witnessed him put pajama pants and a t-shirt on for the first time! He is walking, flossing, brushing his own teeth, shaving, playing his guitar and doing things we thought impossible a week ago. He is so fun to be around and has a fantastic attitude. We left him visiting 5 of his wake industry friends, laughing and talking of Gods goodness. I cannot tell you how happy this makes us. Im sure you are all relieved as well. Now we pray for these things: Movement and flexibility in his neck so as not to have surgery in the future. Arm and hand function. Left wrist function. Muscle mass, especially in his chest and arms. Body alignment due to muscle loss, so he will be able to walk upright and have a normal gait. For the hole in his head and the sternum to heal completely without surgery. For the ears to be completely healed. For baby Manzari to be delivered full term and healthy. And finally for there to be zero medical debt. I am asking big, because God can do this. Why not Matt and Bobbye Jean? Why not? He has answered our prayers so far and we are hopeful and grateful for Matt and Bobbyes future. God is with them. Thanks for praying when we are tired and weary. You are all a blessing and we appreciate you even though we dont respond to you individually. We see all you do and we love you.
