We just had the most JOYFUL end to our day on Christmas Eve! We - TopicsExpress

We just had the most JOYFUL end to our day on Christmas Eve! We had planned to close early at 4pm, but the most amazing loving family came in, with what turned out to be a Christmas miracle for a special boy. Two years ago, we adopted twin kittens, impossibly beautiful, fluffy, sweet little ginger-colored purrballs, to a couple who promised to love them forever. 2 years later, when the couple divorced, they both thought it was appropriate to divorce their cats, also. The wife came in with no preamble and rudely dumped the twins in our lobby. She was irritated at even being asked to fill out an intake form, so that we would have updated medical information. The boys were terrified and brokenhearted, and Witten in particular hid for weeks. Little by little both boys hearts began to heal, and recently Wittens brother was adopted to one of our favorite couples, the Stoebers- he fit right in with their family! Today as we were closing, a sister and brother came in to see our house-lions. Witten fell in love, making biscuits on the girls lap- the highest compliment a cat will give! They left, and later called back. We were asked for a special favor- that we check references on Christmas Eve, to make a special family happy, and send a beautiful sweet house lion home- this time, to a family who understands the meaning of a lifetime commitment. We were happy to do it- over the top happy. Not one, not two, but the whole family began arriving. Some had bought a new litter box, others different supplies, and they all joyfully converged on our lobby to support the new addition to the family. And tonight, on Christmas Eve, Santa Paws created a miracle for a former broken-hearted house lion who lost his first family, and then his brother. Because tonight, Witten gained a special forever place... in the hearts of the big, supportive, loving Ritter family of Alamogordo.
