We just made it back to Kelly’s today. It seems that I can only drive or ride for about five hours before getting stiff and sore and must stop. I wanted to thank Desi and Glen for opening their home and making us feel so “at home” while there. We both wish to thank every family member and the many friends of family, who came out to welcome us home and for joining with us in helping the folks of Kentucky in our mission efforts. Words alone cannot express the gratitude we both share in our hearts for what you all did. What a dinner too!!!! Can you all believe that we devoured three turkeys and a twenty-pound ham? Besides all the trimmings and what looked like five gallons of chicken and dumplings?!!!! Indeed we our family is blessed with many blue ribbon cooks! I just wanted to say thank you to every one, for some of you I did not even get to talk too and others the conversation was brief, but it was important that I try and reach everyone with this. My prayer for each of you is that you continue to be as blessed now, as I am, was and continue to be with the memories. Betty and I were talking on the way home and this was one of the most relaxing missions work that we have ever done, and we have been in the missions field and helps ministry for almost thirty five years. Each of you shared in making it so, thank you for sharing our burden. I know this probably sounds like a broken record but seems all I can come up with is thank you! I ask that if you can as you read this to copy and share, make a copy and give it to some one that don’t have a computer and was there. Next trip we must spread our selves a little thinner and try to spend a night with others of my family, but this trip was promised my baby sister several years ago and I had to keep it; for we are only as good as our word. So Toni, Glo and Rick just be ready!
