We just purchased a brand new, high efficiency, top load washing machine. Its a Whirlpool, has a steel drum and will cost us $14 a year in electricity. The cost? Zero, 0, zip, nada, nothing. How? We earned $350.00 gift certificates by surfing the web and doing surveys. Watched for a sale and then put in $160 to finalize the deal. Then we discovered a rebate offered by the city for $300. So in the long run, Santa Monica paid us $140 to purchase a new washing machine. :D To be fair, it took us six months to earn the gift certificates. Nickles and dimes.
