We just received a call from Brud McCabe in Vermont. Today, a large, burly man with a beard - aka John - and his wife or girlfriend, also a large-framed person, purchased 50 head of black, red and dun Belties. These people were supposedly from Asheboro, NC, although no one here in NC knows who this may be. The cattle were loaded on a semi/trailer combo, and removed from the premises. There is reason to believe the cattle may have been stolen. Mr McCabe, one of the owners of the cattle, said that the check used to pay for the cattle was not good. Please forward any info you might obtain re these cattle to Mr McCabe (or I can get it to him). The authorities have been notified. Thank you.
