We just spent an hour on the telephone negotiating with our health - TopicsExpress

We just spent an hour on the telephone negotiating with our health insurance company over our coverage. ONE HOUR. This is after being told twice that we were not covered. TWICE. The doctor told us by law that we are covered. BY LAW. I am a glass blower and this is for thousands of dollars. I feel that I was lied two. TWICE. I have had enough of our American health care system. The transition to nationalized health care is going way too slowly and the fear of such a system is unfounded. The Affordable Health Care Act is a small step in the right direction. There will naturally be problems. To use a simile from years ago, we will buy a few 20,000 dollar toilet seats, but by and large, compared to the inefficient, combative, and inequitable system that we now use, Canada and Britain look very appealing to me. There have been many studies that show that certain health care delivery systems work best. Taiwan has been shown to be the highest rated for cost, value, and overall delivery of quality and sustainability. They have a desirable combination of public and private insurances. I want to see us have a system that works for us in my country, during my lifetime.
