We just viewed the first ROUGH CUT for Finding Hope. It is very rare that I get this excited about the first rough cut of a project. It appears that our post team will indeed live up to the very high standards set by our production team, cast and crew. I must say that I am in awe of every single member of our team, and I sincerely mean EVERY SINGLE MEMBER. The crew busted their ass and it is evident in the footage. This was a very large cast and the casting process was a very lengthly process, every role had to be cast perfectly regardless of the size of it. That was achieved and then some, I am so proud of EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of the cast. I wish I could go on and on about every member of the team both in front of and behind the camera. This post would be even longer, hahaha, but I do have to single out our fearless leader. This film was shot masterfully and Mr. Julian Grant did an amazing job of bringing his vision to life. I remember some questioning me and even being critical of me for hiring Julian to take on this project as both the writer and director. Your loyalty is going bite you in the ass on this one, Shannon..... or my personal favorite, How is a horror/suspense director going to successful achieve a piece like Finding Hope? My response to those critics was simple - A great director/filmmaker is like a great leading actor. They can excel in different genres, different roles and utilize their skillset and sheer ability to excel at any project/role regardless of genre or subject matter. That is EXACTLY what has happened. This film was shot beautifully, everything from the lighting, the shot selections, the performances, tone...EVERYTHING was navigated brilliantly by Mr. Grant. I want to sincerely thank ALL of you that have been involved with this project from its inception. After viewing the rough cut, I can only imagine how beautiful the final cut will be; once audio designed, scored, color corrected, digitally mastered, VFX etc... I firmly believe that everyone involved will be VERY proud of this piece. #ChicagoTalent #FindingHopeTheMovie #DIY #Variety Two 9 Productions, Canal Productions.
