We just welcomed in our 1000th member to the Skippy Lou page!! Now, I know for sure that there is no excuse for the same twenty or thirty people doing everything. Lets get our butts in gear! Think of what a THOUSAND PEOPLE can do! Lets share posts and encourage those who have lost their pets! Lets offer to help put up signs and share posts to further facilitate these reunions! A thousand people should be able to accomplish a LOT. Lets get this done! There is no reason for posts to have only one or two shares. LETS GET THE WORD OUT for these pet owners and finders! If you cant do anything else, SHARE the posts. Many pets have come home thanks to simple Facebook shares. If you want to get updates from this page, go to the top of this page and click your notifications settings. If it is on you will receive updates without having to remember to come here. Please go down the page and become aware of those pets and owners who are still waiting on their reunions - and lets do what we can to make that happen. And new members (and old alike): please take a look of the rules of the page. Rules here are simple: You may only post pets that you PERSONALLY have lost or found. If you know someone who has lost or found a pet, share this page with them and ask them to join. Our reason for this is so that if someone has a question or important info for the owner or finder, we want it to get to the right place. Shares seem helpful but in a pinch, are not. If you tell someone about the page and they dont join, then you have done all that you can do. A good pet owner or finder will WANT to get the word out. No shares from other pages. If this page is only a mirror reflection of other pages, then there is no reason for us to be here. No selling or purchasing of pets. No bickering or belittling. In the same regards, NO TIRADES. No pet rehoming. This includes no offers to adopt pets that people have found. We are here to REUNITE pets. No graphic photos of any kind. No selling or advertising of anything. If you post a lost or found pet here, please post updates. We dont like dead-ends and as we only have two moderators, we dont like to have to beg for updates when we could be doing something fun. Like getting pets home. If you post, make sure to post a contact email or phone number. This is MANDATORY and Facebook does NOT count as contact info. In the case that someone has a lead on your pet, you do NOT want hours passing before you know about it. If someone needs to get in touch with you ASAP, we do not want lack of contact info to stop that from happening. If you refuse to post contact info, unfortunately your post will be deleted. If someone comes here to try and get free pets, you are barking up the wrong tree. We protect them with our lives. Our #1 mission is reuniting lost and found pets. This group serves the Nashville, Tennessee and immediately surrounding areas. We do not concentrate on other states or counties hours away.
