We knew him by the name Murad. He appeared a few years ago, and started training at a small local gym in Luton. He would occasionally train, sometimes watch us spar in boxing and even work with others on the pads. I remember hed talk about the jihad resistance against Western forces in Muslim countries - no doubt to entice others in conversations which he hoped would incriminate young men who speak in contempt of the Wests policies of aggression in Muslim lands such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine. Whats dangerous is that he promoted extremist views and encouraged the youth to indulge in such conversations while claiming to support organisations such as Al Muhajiroun and other extremist groups. The revelations of his secret life now cast alot of doubt and suspicion within our community towards all newcomers; no doubt an intended side effect to divide and weaken us. We must be weary and cautious about the conversations we have, as we can only expect that spies may be nearby to interpret even the most innocent comment or opinion as a threat to national security, even if we only wish to raise awareness and intend no harm.
