We knew that the Camry was getting older. We were provided with a wonderful opportunity; a 2008 Nissan Rogue that is as clean as a 2015 on the showroom floor. But, what about that new fangled CTV transmission ? We bought the car. I went to Dick Smith Nissan in Lexington, this morning and I asked if I could talk to a mechanic about the transmission. Arron knows my youngest daughter. Surprise ! Turned out that the Rogue has been purchased there, serviced there, and fixed or repaired successfully there under warranty. The mechanic talked to me patiently for 1 1/2 hours, answering every question an ex auto mechanic could throw at him. He explained how 6 CD Bose radio works, cruise control, paddle shifters, servicing required, optional extra warranties, we looked at the spare tire, and then he offered to air up all the tires correctly, which he then did, and added a tag applied for tag to my rear until we get a tag for the car, One employee gave me the assurance that Nissan cares about their cars and that Dick Smith in Lexington cares about their customers. Capitalism at its best ! I might even return to a dealership like that !
