We knew the National Security targeted persons of interest. But love interests, too?... NSA officials revealed to the Wall Street Journal that the agency’s eavesdropping doesn’t stop with people under suspicion. They’ve also been known to target people they’re romantically involved with. One NSA official swore that it’s only been done on purpose a handful of times. And Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Dianne Feinstein says the agency has assured her it’s just isolated cases. But the top Republican on her committee, Bob Corker, says Congress doesn’t even know the extent of NSA eavesdropping. He’s pressing for the agency to give Congress a full review. Good luck. One former intelligence official told National Review that the NSA is so arrogant, they only tell Congress what they want, so lawmakers don’t even know what they don’t know. He claimed that when he refused to skew the data and lie to Congress, he was replaced. Maybe it’s time for Congress to remind the NSA of who their overseer is. And just in case they don’t know that, either: it’s Congress.
