We know how hyperbaric oxygen works. It works by being a DNA signaling agent in the Mitochondria. Ketones are the back door way of fueling the Mitochondria when their normal method of obtaining energy with glucose is compromised. If cancer cells have dysfunctional mitochondria, which they do, and you correct or heal those mitochondria (those in cancer cells, perhaps by giving them the energy they need to do their job correctly [yes, over simplification]), then perhaps the mitochondria in cancer cells initiate apoptosis, which is the job of healthy mitochondria that finds itself in a cancer cell.
