We know this is asking a lot but we have to ask...we do a lot of driving for the rescue. We insist on home checks for adoptions and we adopt dogs from Vancouver WA , south as far as Medford , OR and east past Salem , OR and as far west as Newport and Tillamook OR. We prefer to take our dogs for vetting to Dr. Brooks in Turner , Oregon which is three hours drive round trip. We also go to adoption events in Salem , OR which is two hours round trip. All of this driving has resulted in the founders car taking a beating to the point it is rather unreliable. We have reached out to dealerships but they are not willing to help. If there is a miracle person out there who has a car of any kind that could be donated to the rescue then we would really appreciate it. Most vetting, medication , and special diet needs are met out of our own pockets. All gasoline , laundry , office supplies , Po Box costs , yearly state filing fees , and other random rescue items are also paid for out of our own pockets. We do this because we believe in the cause and our hearts and our own personal bank accounts are committed to these animals, but it leaves us in a bind when issues arise that are huge like this transportation issue. Hoping for a miracle....
