We learn from this weeks Torah portion (Parshat Vayikra) how fortunate it is for a kings generation if he, the king, the person with unlimited power, admits that he was wrong. People in positions of power can sometimes deny making mistakes. When we get to such a position of authority, in whatever relationship we are in (as parents, siblings, friends, spouses, in leadership positions in organizations etc.) we can sometimes forget and consider ourselves to be perfect. Admitting that we have erred takes much courage. The more power we have, the greater the importance of having the intellectual honesty to admit that we have made a mistake. We should take pleasure whenever we are brave enough to admit we were wrong. (Growth Through Torah by Rabbi Zelig Pliskin) In the merit of this learning may Galya bat Yehudis be blessed with complete health, happiness, success, clarity, and only revealed good. Create a beautiful, holy, and restful Shabbat! - Ora
