We leave for Mahabalipuram in 15 minutes (or maybe an hour . . . the van I arranged has not shown up yet!). Internet connection is pretty spotty for the next week. It is available (maybe) only in the lobby of the beach resort, it is not available at all in the hotel in Kolkata, and it is somewhat available in the lobby of the hotel in Varanasi (Pallavi International). Surprisingly it is available at the little hotel we stop at in Agra . . . . but I cannot guarantee daily updates for the next week. I will be keeping a file with the daily updates, but it might happen that I will upload five or six days of updates at one time when I have WiFi. If you do not get an update, do not think that we have all dropped off the face of the earth . .. . it just means we are back in old India, where WiFi was not even an idea!!
