We live in a culture that is materialistic, externally-referenced, - TopicsExpress

We live in a culture that is materialistic, externally-referenced, paternalistic (authoritarian) and discouraging to irrational spiritual growth. Our intellect is both our Best Friend and Biggest Obstacle to Growth. We are trapped by our own self-limiting beliefs and attitudes, not by someone or something outside of ourselves. Paradigm shifts, whole-pattern override programs, are difficult to install, requiring us to hold down the on button for new programming of our perception. We are being forced to discover inner resources that we are not aware of and do not know how to use. There are no problems, only undefined situations. We must learn to live with partial knowledge, partial power, partial freedom (Sheldon B. Kopp). Increased intuition -- letting go of rational control -- is both the process and the goal. So yes, slow down, come to a Full. Stop. and. Look. and. Listen. for. a. long. time. until the answer surprises you.
