We live in a day and age where anointing is determined by materialism. In other words the biggest car,the biggest house,the biggest church etc determines who is the most anointed and who is the leader. When materialism determines spiritual rank then we have a problem called shallowness Shallowness is produced in our spiritual communities when we celebrate the wrong stuff and make the wrong stuff a priority for the emerging christian I am not a advocate for lack/poverty equals deep spirituality because that is another extreme that is just so wrong I am saying personal comforts & preference should not be our reference point for depth/rank. 1 Corinthians 2:13 puts it this way .....paring spiritual with spiritual People buy what they like,drive what they like and stay where they want. Those achievements are often so disconnected from the mans spirit and to use that to determine his spirituality is a sign of how shallow we have become. God selection process in the kingdom has very little to do with any of it. God does not always choose the strongest and He does not always choose the weakest He does not always choose the richest and He does not always choose the poorest The text says God looks at the heart The heart reveals purity not power.....grow up and learn to compare spiritual with spiritual......
