We live in a time where "Islamic education" is easily accessible and available right at our fingertips. But if "Islamic education" is not helping the student adopt more and more sunnah in his life then we gotta go back to the drawing table, there is a disconnect, something is wrong somewhere and it needs to be addressed....lots of Jews and Christians are great experts at translation and commentary of the Holy Quran you know what I am saying? Rijal-ullah have to be in the line somewhere, the pious people of Allah swt have to be involved in the delivery at some point. In todays age the intellectual attack is at this level, it is to first diminish the significance of Rijal-ullah and then to totally remove them from the picture. Today "its get Imam Abu Hanifah out of the way, get Imam Shafi out of the way, get Imam Malik out of the way, do away with Imam Ahmed," then what? If you get enough Rijal-ullah out of the way eventually there wont be any need for Rasoolullah salallaho alayhi wa sallam.
