We live in a war zone with our dearest friends and families perpetually in the front line. One thing that can be done is to have a few police patrol cars at the entrances of areas where stolen vehicles are usually taken. I am so upset by the cruel murder of the 89 yr old this week in Morningside by brutal thieves who are also murderers. And then there was the invasion of a Westville home of a professor and his wife by thugs on Sunday night last week. Their car was stolen and this caused so much trauma. They are not young anymore. South Africa is a difficult country in which to grow old gracefully and happily. Never leave car and house keys and remotes outside your locked bedroom when you sleep. Of course one has to arm the alarm system when one sleeps. We have to be so alert! Good luck everybody and try and take all precautions and keep safe.
