We live in a world of brands. And we live in a world where we are brands. We dont think in terms of first impressions any more. We think in terms of our personal brand impressions. Many dont like this. But thats because theres so much misinformation about brands. A brand is the collective set of impressions about an individual, organization, product or service. And the number one impression is around value. What does this person or organization or product do for me? How does it help me functionally? emotionally? personally? socially? This means if we are thinking about our brand, then we are thinking about the value we add in peoples lives. And thats a good thing.
