We live in an age of spurious definitions and arbitrarily redefined terms. Modernists, secular humanist, and New Age thinkers, for example, have redefined many values, terms and mores all under the cloak of tolerance. Societys motto today is live and let live, especially where evil is concerned. It is not surprising, then, that even as God was redefined as a dead fantasy of primitive man, Satan would also undergo extensive reconstruction and eventually emerge as a depersonalized philosophical construct- a synonym for mans shadow or collective evil.
