We live in an age when personal, corporate and political loyalties seem to be over-writing commonsense. Electoral victories, when they come with thumping majorities, tend to draw in yes-men, arrogance, ignorance and avarice like flies to a feast. Like a frenzied mob, they are raiding our subcontinents ecological larder.The sign of a good leader is to see through the true motives of hangers-on! This story looks like it might not have a good ending. Nature will deal harshly with India, thanks to the misguided economic ambitions of those whose hands and feet are on Indias steering wheel and accelerator respectively. Why? Because in their drunken hurtle down the GDP-highway, they have purposefully stripped their vehicle of brakes, a rear-view mirror and have sacked their most reliable navigators.
