We lost a friend today. She passed away this morning, and I believe she died of a broken heart, she missed her life man, so badly since he passed a bit more than a year ago. Odd friendship we had, she chose me, probably her best and worst move in her choice of friends! We ended up Pres and VP of the Gclub and we built that wall. Then Rose Society,I got her into that. She was not a humor motivated friend, a scholar, taught English at Minnesota State, or U of M, but we laughed when I told her I almost went there and holy crap she could have been my instructor. She went to my bro for some chiro and I told her, make sure you tell him you dated Fran Tarkington! She was almost like a big sister, my brothers age and go figure we wore the same size. She was diabetic, I did not know about the tight socks, circulation issues with that whole thing, every time she would buy a pack of socks at costco, I got new socks!!!!!!! As we carried on our friendship, in a very short time of maybe 10 years, we got confused for one another! Then we did have some laughs! She and her husband bailed my kids out of that Vernonia flood. They had an Apt. here in FG and Jim worked with the government issued monies they got to relocate, until they could rebuild.So her renters saw me many times and then of course the folks in North Plains saw us many times, some times together, some times separate. Then we started the fun and laughter. Always being mistaken for one another, and would have to call and each other with dumb stuff, Then hubby passed last year and things were never the same!
