We lost a wonderful man today to cancer. Dr. John Paul Mattei was an incredibly intelligent man who loved life and his job as an aerospace engineer. My children met astronauts at his home and he showered my children with unconditional love. He was a mentor to anyone who needed help. While our we learned not to talk about politics, he loved the US. He served in the US Air Force. We will miss him terribly, but we know that he has touched many including his grandchildren: Alex, Meghan, Lyle and Brett. Rest in Peace John -
