We lost my mom this year in May and I just read a friends post mentioning his loss as well. It occurred to me that losing parents, an inevitable and life-changing event is a necessary and even sadly but potentially beneficial part of the circle for the very reason you mention. It can certainly be a catalyst for reconciliation, reconnection and healing. Id like to think my moms passing has been that for my siblings and me. Merry Christmas and HNY to everyone, especially my brother and sister. Give your mom and dad a hug for me if youre lucky enough to still have that option.
