We loved this idea from ASPCApro, and would really appreciate donations of these small cups, peanut butter, and Milkbones so we can try it! These peanut butter cups are meant for dog enrichment; sometimes dogs can get a little bored waiting for their forever homes while in their kennels. We try our best to exercise them and keep them occupied (they get long walks twice a day, volunteers come in to take them on Dogs Day Out trips or spend time with them in our outside pens). But we cannot be with them every moment of the day, as much as we would like to, so this idea is awesome! It is very important for us to keep the dogs occupied and happy as they search for their forever homes. Dogs of ours like Panda for example (pictured here with her Kong) love things like this and can stay entertained for hours. Panda has been a BHS resident since September 9th, so she is coming up on nearly two months spent looking for that perfect match. Those two months go by much faster with fun things to do like this! If you are willing and able to donate, we would love it! Stop by, we are open 12pm-6pm today and 10am-6pm tomorrow. If you cant donate, thats okay! You can still be a huge help by sharing this post and maybe one of your Facebook friends has some peanut butter or leftover cups they could part with. We know Panda and her friends at BHS would smother you with peanut butter kisses for helping them get their paws on one of these tasty treats. :)
