We made it home safely from Pullman today after picking up my son. On SR14 there were a lot of fallen rocks on the road, between tunnel 2 & 3 and then a little further down the road. We seen a car pulled over on the side of the road so we stopped to help (it was pouring down rain)...the poor guy had a flat tire from the rocks...only to find out they were on their way to Vancouver and both him and his girlfriend are from WSU in Pullman....he is a sophomore and she is a freshman...he did not have the correct tool to change the tire and we did not have one to fit, so we told him we lived 15 minutes away and would come back with the proper tools...we decided to use the Escape going back and we almost got to where they were and WA DOT helped them change the tire...he called us back on the cell phone to thank us for helping (what a nice guy)...it was great being able to help someone from there even though we didnt get to finish the job....especially a Coug.... :)
