We made it to Durham for Daves brain MRI. The scan will take place tomorrow at 1245pm. It was an exhausting trip. He was more coherent today but his motor skills continue to struggle. He has to use the walker for everything now and we had to use a wheelchair for him to get to our hotel room. I wish I could take all the pain from him. He is so tired. Please say a prayer that the scan tomorrow will give us answers and help guide me in the right direction. As his constant caregiver the past 4.5 years it is hard for me to see him struggle like this. He has always recovered and bounced back regardless of the obstacle. This time it is different. Thank you to my family for helping me all last week and for his mom traveling with us to the scan. Until you are down in the trenches with us it is impossible to fully understand what we deal with on a daily basis. It is hard and it is heartbreaking. I hope you all cherish your health. Be sure to love and support any caregivers and cancer patients you may know. It is a hard job that will wear you down. We continued to be blessed by so many in so many ways. However, when you have to tell your 8 yr old son his daddy might not get better that is beyond hard. We should have results of the scan by the end of the week.
