We may have started to turn the school corner. Getting her up and out is a challenge still and we often has outbursts right after, but they are getting shorter. She still needs to review and know her schedule and what exactly is going to happen and we did have a bolting episode last night, but I probably shouldnt have decided to take her to the store. Why I think we turned the corner is mainly due to what happened today when I dropped her off. At first I was sad as I watched her stand next to some girls and look like a deer in headlights. They were tall talking and giggling and she stood there staring and chewing on her chewy necklace, no idea how to participate, but desperately wanting to. Then one of them said come on Meredith... and she immediately perked up and ran off to play with them on the playground and actually played WITH and started chatting away to them. Melted my heart.
