We may need an anatolian(s) sooner rather than later . . . found today on our back two acres, with our neighbor who shares a fence saying he saw a mountain lion cross his driveway two weeks ago . . . no livestock yet but chickens (in a fairly secure coop/run), with goats arriving in April. And we have younger children (3,7, & 9) . . . any thoughts on what age Anatolian we should try to get, when to start training? Before/after we get the goats? Worried about loosing some before a puppy would be grown and ready to defend, but understand trained older LGD are hard to come by (for good reason).
