We may not agree on the best way to provide healthcare in this - TopicsExpress

We may not agree on the best way to provide healthcare in this country, but apparently some in power have agreed that health concerns should not interfere with oil company profits. Public health officials ordered not to return phone calls from local residents if the subject appeared related to fracking? Told they needed special permission to attend community meetings? Does anyone still have doubts whos running things? What if we did this differently? What if, instead of secrecy and gag orders, we prioritized the safety of current and future generations? What if we treated hydraulic fracturing as open-source technology, and collaborated on the SAFEST way to do it? What if we took our time sorting out the best way to tap this natural resource? After all, its not like the shale is going anywhere; its been down there for millions of years. What if we could all feel confident that the priority was preserving America the Beautiful for our grandchildren, instead of creating some more quick billionaires in the current generation? stateimpact.npr.org/pennsylvania/2014/06/19/former-state-health-employees-say-they-were-silenced-on-drilling/
