We mentioned before that one of the things that distinguishes a radical bookshop from general indies is that the storerooms, toilets, back offices and corridors of radical bookshops are usually stuffed with left over placards and campaign bric a brac from projects won and lost, usually left with the comment well pick them up on Monday. Weve been happy to provide a store for CND, Peoples Assembly and assorted others in this way - and some of the material really has been picked up on a Monday! Unfortunately, running the publishing side from the same building as the shop means we have reached capacity with our own material. Were having to climb over gazebos and pasting tables to reach our spare stock, putting staff on a diet to squeeze into our office and theres barely room for one staff bike in the kitchenette space (hmmm - might have to think about that one). Were shortly to take delivery of our next Five Leaves big book and Christmas stock will start arriving soon... So, sorry to campaigners all - we are not deserting the radical fold, it is just that our storage space is full. This service is now terminated! Forward to the bigger, better Five Leaves Bookshop of the future, with a dedicated storeroom with elegant racking for the Nottingham radical world!
