We met Mark for lunch yesterday. A group of older ladies sat 2 - TopicsExpress

We met Mark for lunch yesterday. A group of older ladies sat 2 tables away. They would not sit at first- not really sure who would join them- but they felt that up to 6 ladies would join them. One by one, the friends arrived. I hope to have lunch with friends frequently in years to come. This is a reminder to those friends I may have the pleasure to dine with. We must remind ourselves to speak in a tone of voice that does not make our voices travel 2 or 3 tables away. If we choose not to do that then we should be aware of the fact that much of the restaurant is listening by default. And they likely hear about the wound on your hand that just wont heal. Or the wax in your ear that the doctor insisted was so badly impacted they had to flush it out- repeatedly. And then discuss said wax in great detail. The discussion continues with a wound that smelled bad enough to go to the doctor and required antibiotics. She had never smelled anything that bad. But how could it heal when she kept banging the spot on the corner of the wall and opened up the scab. The conversation continues- the topics get better. Danny is laughing. I just keep shaking my head. Toenail fungus is difficult to treat. A fly bite can turn into cellulitis- but the doctor is too busy to see you and Urgent Care Centers are too new to trust them yet. Some days are difficult in the bowel area- maybe I should order a salad.... Ladies, when we go to lunch- remind me I posted this years earlier and that there was TMI for the average person within ear shot of that table. We should not repeat it. We must learn from the past. And, I left out some details to spare you~
