We met a group of the hand crews from the Department of Forestry - TopicsExpress

We met a group of the hand crews from the Department of Forestry yesterday. They were soaked from the rain, filthy dirty from their work, dog tired, and the nicest people youd ever meet. They came on to our property, formed a line 20 people long, picked up all the debris that had been cut, and walked it to a chipper out front. It was a human machine. They scooped up branches and limbs, stood in line to get to the chipper, and then went back for another load. It was about a 20-minute process. When they were done, they waved at us, piled back into their vehicles, and went off to do more work. I have no idea when any of them last had a chance to sleep on a bed or take a shower or eat a hot meal. Here are some before, during, and after images. What these men and women did in 20 minutes would have taken us several days. That they were willing to help given all they had been doing is something we can never thank them enough for.
