We met last night for the mission trip to Guatemala. We will be selling food to raise money to build the two $4,000 homes with the help of Constru Casa, a non profit program that Jim and Tina Hille have helped us understand & support at First Plymouth. Our food is specific to Guatemala.. what a chance to try something new. The ingredients will be put together at the Crete UCC church and we will finish them up on Sat afternoon in the FP UCC kitchen… labors of love. There are 22 of us going with the two churches. One home will be dedicated in honor of a Guatemalan mother who died and her daughter is a member of the UCC Crete church. For this event and the Farmer’s Market to be a success, parishioners will need to bring “cash to buy” because we don’t have credit card availability. Help us make this a success, receive some great food, and enjoy!
