We met with several doctors starting around 6pm. Rich feels awful. The pressure on his diaphragm makes it hard to breath, he has a low fever, chills, and dizziness. Dr. Shen has admitted Rich to the hospital to work on hydration, nutrition, and general strengthening for surgery. This will not be laparoscopic but will be another MOAS (Mother of All Surgeries, as they say in the support groups) like Baltimore. Because its unscheduled, we dont have a surgery date yet. The room is super fancy, with a recliner and pull out bed, big TV, 12 power outlets, and a great view of the sunrise over the hills according to our nurse. Im staying here overnight (Rich will want only me short term) and Rich Sr is coming Saturday afternoon. Megan and Beth/Keilyn are coordinating overnight shifts (11pm-6am) but do not harass them. They will contact candidates as needed and you can just comment here if you are willing. Remember, hounding the care coordinators (or me) is negative help. :) Ill update as I know more but I know many of you were waiting for details.
