We mourn today with our brothers and sisters in law enforcement the death of Cruz Thomas, son of Tina N Stevie Thomas who was killed in a traffic crash while working last night as a Deputy for the Franklin County Georgia Sheriffs Office. Sheriff Thomas lost his son, father to his grandchild, and a deputy in one tragic crash. I cant being to imagine the pain and anguish he and his family must be facing right now. Young Deputy Cruz Thomas was also a deputy for the Jackson County Sheriffs Office. I heard the catch in the Jackson County Sheriffs voice this morning as she struggled to come to grips with the scope of the tragedy that those men and women will feel. I hope you will join me as we pray for healing for the Thomas family, and the extended family of the friends, co-workers and citizens of Franklin and Jackson County as they come to grips with the untimely death of a fine young man.
