We must GIVE UP the fantasy that we deserve a "problem-free" life. Part of us is hungering for the resoolution of all difficulties, and this is a false hope! As Jesus told His disciples, "in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world`(John 16:33). 1 John 5:4 says, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith". We should not link our hope to problem solving in this life, but to the promise of an eternity of problem-free life in heaven. Instead of seeking perfection in this lost and fallen world, pour your energy into seeking Jesus Christ, God, the perfect one! Make no mistake, it IS possible to enjoy God and glorify Him in the midst of adversity. In fact, Christ`s light shines most brightly through believers who trust Him even in the dark circumstances in life(Psalm 112:4-7). This kind of trust is supernatural: a by-product of His Holy Spirit dwelling within us. When things seem all wrong, trust Him anyway! God is less concerned in right circumstances than He is in right responses to whatever comes our way! Stay Blessed, - Joey B
