We must apologise for not keeping everyone updated with the progress of Darren. We did go back to surgery on the 26th September as Darren had another tumour removed on the left side. All seemed to go well with the surgery. The surgeon was very happy with the resection of the tumour. We finally got home on the Thursday 3rd October. Unfortunately we did not stay home for long. On the Monday morning, ( 7th October)early hours of the morning we were flown back to Prince of Wales hospital. Darren had an infection were they had previously operated. Two more surgeries to clean out the infection and nearly two weeks in ICU, Darren is now on IV antibiotics possibly for the next 6 weeks to clear the infection. We have had a very tough month and its going to be a long road to recovery. We take each day as it comes.
