We must know our enemies and those who helped in the killing - TopicsExpress

We must know our enemies and those who helped in the killing of more than 3.5 million of our people. Today we want to look at the life of this man Ukpabi Asika. Who is Ukpabi Asika? On November 20 2004 it was announced that the remains of Ukpabi Asika, the Administrator of then East Central State was to be buried in Onitsha. The government of Anambra State spent more than 12 million naira to rehabilitate Awka road to GRA to facilitate easy flow of traffic during the burial. Also we understood that the President of Anambra State Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA), Mr. Sylvester Odife worked very hard to close all the markets in Onitsha in honor of Mr. Asika. He described Mr. Asika as “a statesman, a scholar par excellence and claimed that anybody who is somebody in Igbo land today and all the five story buildings in Onitsha today have direct link to Asika’s empowerment of traders.” The fake governors in Igbo land were also singing Asika’s praises. Well it is good to say nice things about a dead man. But we have a responsibility to tell our children the truth, to render history as it is so that future generations of Biafrans will learn the truth. Those who ignore the lessons of history are bound to repeat their mistakes again and again and suffer the consequences again and again. Millions of Jews were slaughtered by the Nazi 1940-45. Some renegade Jews helped the Nazi in the destruction of their own people. After 1945 the Jews dealt mercilessly with all those Jews who helped the Nazi destroy the Jews. They have continued to hunt down and destroy all the renegade Jews or Nazi who participated in the Jewish holocaust. Today everyone knows not to mess with a Jew because the consequences will be immediate, severe, and very painful. Millions of Igbo were slaughtered by Hausa/ Fulani/Yoruba and other Nigerian vandals from 1966-1970. Some renegade Igbo helped the Nigerians in massacring the Igbo, their own brothers and sisters. Till today the Igbo did not punish the renegade Igbo who joined the Nigerians in slaughtering millions of Igbo people. The Igbo did not punish the Nigerians who massacred millions of Igbo people. Rather the Igbo started honoring these mass murderers, giving them titles, calling them Igbo leaders, making them governors, chiefs and wining and dining with them. The result, from 1980, they started slaughtering the Igbo in thousands once again. Today more Igbo people have joined the Nigerians in slaughtering their fellow Igbo. The greatest danger facing the Igbo today is that they are ignoring the lessons of history and so are paying very dearly.
